Day 1

1. TLW identify the elements of a complete sentence with a powerpoint lesson.

Day 2

TLW practice expanding sentences to include details.Introduction:
Materials:
  • pencils
  • markers
  • paper
Procedure:
  • Fold a margin on the paper. On the first line write the words "Who/What".
    On the next line, write "Did What".
    Next line, write "Where".
    Next line, write "When".
    Next line, "Why".
    Next line, "How".
    Next line, "Which One".
  • Each time the students write on a new line, they repeat what they wrote from the line below. Also, they underline the words that answer each word or words that answer their margin words.

Conclusion: After the students are done,the students trace over the margin words with a marker and underline in marker.
